Notes to Parents
‘Future Me’ Career Lab provides 6 different occupations in a real life workplace environment where kids will be dressed in smart uniform and perform designated tasks to earn wages. They will also learn about how to manage wages through the experience. More importantly, they will learn to treasure every dollar, share and use money wisely in the future.

“Save before you spend” is the utmost principle for saving money: Save immediately after each time you get your wages and spend only the remaining sum. Do not mess up the order!

After completing a workplace experience, each participants will receive a Fortune Card specifying some of the occasions in life that may incur expense or income, e.g. buying a birthday gift for a friend or receiving a bonus.

Participant must deposit $30 in savings account each time.The interest payable after keeping for 7 days will be $10. There is no automatic rollover, participants must come to the Bank to renew tenor for the matured deposit in person.

Shopping at Store
There are different kinds of merchandise on offer, with stocks regularly replenished. Kids can purchase the merchandise with their wages.

Donation
The wages can help make a difference in the lives of the needy. It offers a great opportunity for kids to experience the gift of giving. Kids can buy donation token ($10 each) at the Bank for the use of donation machine.
  • 'Future Me' Career Lab offers workplace experience of 6 occupations. Each Experience Ticket is entitled to one workplace experience for free. (Redemption starts at 11:30am every day.)
  • Customers are eligible to redeem one 'Future Me' Career Lab Experience Ticket by presenting valid same-day computer-printed receipt(s) and corresponding payment slip(s) of electronic spending totalling HK$300 at a maximum of 2 different merchants in Olympian City; or with 500 Olympian Kids points. Electronic payment can be made by credit card, EPS counterfoil, Octopus card, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, Tap & Go, Alipay or WeChat Pay.
  • Each participant is entitled to redeem maximum two tickets each time. Each Olympian Kids member is entitled to redeem a maximum of 2 Experience Tickets each time.
  • Break time will be applied to each type of workplace experience during weekdays. Please check the availability from on-site staff before making redemption.
  • Each Experience Ticket shall be used in the designated workplace experience on the day of issue. Issued Experience Tickets cannot be renewed. Participants must present their original copies of Experience Ticket and Work Pass. Expired, defaced, damaged Experience Tickets/ Work Pass or photocopies of either will not be accepted.
  • Participant shall present the Experience Ticket at registration counter at designated date and time to redeem a 'Work Pass' and pick their favourable workplace experience. Each Experience Ticket is entitled to reserve one workplace experience. Each participant is entitled to reserve a maximum of 2 workplace experiences each time. Vacancies are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration will be accepted once quota is exhausted.
  • Parents shall wait outside the lab area during the session. They shall consider their kids’ abilities and participate at their own risk. The activity provides no child care services, parents shall pick up their kids thereafter.

I have spent HK$300 at three shops today. Can I redeem an Experience Ticket to a workplace experience?
No. Participants are eligible to redeem one Experience Ticket by presenting the same-day electronic payment receipt(s) of a total spending of HK$300 at a maximum of two different merchants. For example: One HK$100 plus one HK$200 receipts for a total spending of HK$300 are eligible for redeeming one Experience Ticket. Each single-transaction receipt is entitled to redeem a maximum of two tickets. For example, a single transaction of HK$1,600 is entitled to a maximum of two tickets.

I have redeemed a ticket today. Can I register tomorrow?
No, each ticket is valid for a designated session on the date of issue only. Expired tickets will not be accepted.
Q3
If the workplace experience session is fully booked, can I reserve the next session?
The Experience Tickets are distributed chronologically. If the next session is fully booked at the time of registration, the participant shall redeem an Experience Ticket to the session after the fully booked one and shall not choose any other sessions. Quota is applied to each session and tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

My child is three years old. Can I accompany him in the workplace experience?
For safety reasons, we do not suggest that kids aged under four participate in the career lab. All participants must complete the session solely. Parents shall consider their kids’ conditions and register at their own risk.

I have completed the registered session. Can I partake in other workplace experience sessions?
If you have completed a registered session and there are vacancies in other sessions, you may redeem another Experience Ticket to any of the vacant sessions.

I cannot attend the registered session for an unexpected reason. Can I exchange the original ticket for another session of the day or another day?
No, you cannot.

Can I partake in part of the session only?
Yes, but participants will not receive any wages or Fortune Card.

Are Work Pass and wages transferable or combinable?
No, they are not.
Q9
I have lost my Work Pass. What can I do?
If you have lost your Work Pass, you can register a new Work Pass after having redeemed an Experience Ticket, but the original record will not be restored and paid wages will not be repaid. It is therefore advised that you take good care of the Work Pass.

What if the participant wants to go to the toilet during the workplace experience?
The staff will ask the parent outside career lab to accompany the participant to the toilet. The participant may join career lab afterward but there will be no extra time to compensate for it.

Is it possible for parents to leave their kids in the lab and go elsewhere?
No, parents must wait outside career lab for their kids until the end of the activity. In the event that the parents fail to pick up their kids, we will deal with the situation according to the practice guideline of Olympian City. In case of accident, parents must inform our staff.

What if the participant feels unwell after registration?
Participants who feel unwell should inform our staff. For the interest of the public, unwell participants are advised to quit the activity.

My money stickers are defaced. What can I do?
Any money sticker(s) on the Work Pass with obvious defacement or an ‘X’ mark will be deemed used. Such stickers will not be re-issued. Participants are advised to take good care of their stickers.

There are surplus in my Work Pass. What can I do?
Work Pass and wages are valid only on the day of issue in the designated session. Their validity will expire after the lab activity.
Q15
I have $90, can I put them all in my time deposit account?
Yes. Each deposit made to the time deposit account must be $30. If you have $90, the staff will indicate on your Work Pass three separate deposits ($30 each) totalling $90. The tenors of the three deposits can commence simultaneously and you will receive $30 interest a week later. There is no automatic rollover, participants must renew tenor for the matured deposit in person.

Participants must read and acknowledge the terms & conditions of this activities before participation:

  • Each Experience Ticket entitles one participant to register for one workplace experience only;
  • Experience Tickets cannot be reused or redeem for cash or any other gifts;
  • Work Pass is not transferable;
  • Impromptu participation swap is not allowed, nor can Work Pass be transferred in an impromptu manner. Each Experience Ticket is entitled to one workplace experience at designated time on the day of issue. Participants must present the Experience Ticket to register at the registration counter. Expired tickets will not be accepted;
  • Participants must present their original copies of Experience Ticket and Work Pass. Defaced, damaged tickets/ Work Pass or photocopies of either will not be accepted;
  • In the event that the participant is unable to present the Experience Ticket due to loss or any other reasons, no replacement ticket will be issued;
  • All workplace experiences are conducted in Cantonese;
  • The suggested ages for all workplace experiences are 4-10. Parents shall consider their kids’ abilities and participate at their own risk;
  • All workplace experiences are open to boys and girls;
  • The daily schedules and quantities of workplace experiences are subject to final announcement of the Organiser;
  • The duration of all sessions is approximately 25-30 minutes. Each workplace experience admits a maximum of eight persons. The Organiser has the right to amend the number of participants at its own discretion;
  • All participants must register before their respective session. Vacancies are allocated on a first-come, first served basis. No registration will be accepted once quota is exhausted;
  • Participants must follow the instructions of the lab staff, otherwise they may be asked to leave the session;
  • Parents shall wait outside the lab area during the session. They shall consider their kids’ abilities and participate at their own risk. The activity provides no child care services, parents shall pick up their kids thereafter;
  • Parents shall take care of the accompanying kids when waiting for the participating kids;
  • Participants must handle all lab facilities and appliances with care. The Organiser reserves the right to seek compensation in case of damage or loss.
  • When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or 3, or Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the activity will remain open. When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted before the opening hours, the activity will be closed until further announcement. When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted during the opening hours, the activity will be closed until further announcement. Disclaimer


  • All incomes and expenses generated in the activity will be recorded on the Work Pass. All incomes must be spent in the lab during the session. Incomes cannot be exchanged for cash. Expired incomes will be deemed invalid;
  • Please keep the Work Pass in good condition. Lost or damaged Work Pass may be re-issued but the original record will not be restored and paid wages will not be repaid;
  • Participants must arrive at designated meeting point five minutes before the respective workplace experience (based on reading from the Organiser’s clock). The staff has the right to disqualify late comers;
  • Participants must partake in workplace experience sessions under staff instruction;
  • Participants must complete the experience session in order to receive wages and a Fortune Card;
  • Participants must be in good health. kids who suffer from influenza, fever, heart diseases, bone/muscle injuries or underlying diseases shall not participate in the activity;
  • The Organiser accepts no responsibility for losses or accidents arising from the activity venue. All parties must take care of their own personal belonging and safety. Parents and participants may join the activity at their own risk;
  • No food or drink is allowed in the lab area;
  • The organiser has the right to make an electronic copy of each receipt presented in the course of redeeming Experience Ticket(s), and to keep the electronic copies for audit purpose.
  • The Organiser has the right to ask non-participants out;
  • The Organiser reserves the right to final decision and the right to revise activity schedule, content, and terms & conditions without prior notice;
  • By obtaining a Work Pass, participants and their parents acknowledge and agree to be bound by the ways of participation and Terms & Conditions of the activity.
